Date Time and Ice Experiments

So it is SO COLD here.  For Sarah Anne's "school" I decided to go with the snow/ice theme for this month.  First of all, we started a "Teach your child to read book" and our sweet girl is doing SO well!!  She read her first sentence today!!  HOORAY!!!!  But she doesn't always love it, so I have lots of other fun activities to do along with it.  Today it was an ice experiment day.  We had 3 different types of cups and put in 2 tablespoons of water into each.  We put 3 in the freezer and 3 outside.  The freezer actually froze faster, but 2 of the cups did freeze outside on the steps.  I have no idea why the one didn't, but Sarah Anne "recorded" (drew) her findings and charts and she LOVED it!!

Side note:  My sweet Mama came and kept the girls Friday night (since we had to miss our Christmas party since our silly sweet baby is too attached to Mommy and will only stay with a handful of people and Nanny couldn't babysit Saturday night).  Anyway, Matt and I got a groupon for dinner (a pizza place that was AMAZING) and went to the USC basketball game.  It was PERFECT!!  We could just sit and relax without paying a ton of money like we would have at the movies!!
