The Okra Strut

As always, this year's Okra Strut was an adventure.  We enjoyed going to the parade with some friends and then went back to the Festival later with Buddy and Nana.  I left my camera at home for the parade, but other than that these are the pictures from our Okra Strut weekend:

Sarah Anne decided to "paint" with Nana's make-up.

I tried to get her paper to at least do it on that not the table!

Working hard!!

Waiting for her friends to go to the parade.

BUDDY CAME!!!

But of course she needed Nana too.  (It was a common theme during the weekend)

She had an "adventure and picnic" upstairs with her friends.

When the Sewer Backs Up....

You realize just how blessed you really are:

First, you realize what a blessing it is to live in a place that has running water and how much you can take that for granted.

Second, the blessing that it is to have places to take your child to play and you can use the bathroom!  Sarah Anne and I prefer the mall and Chick-Fil-A.

Let's just go a few more times Mama!

Up and down over and over.

Of course we play and play and play!

Time to play like Buddy!

Third, we are VERY thankful and blessed to have wonderful friends who will take us in not one, but two nights at a moment's notice!  We also had several offers and it made us realize (even more than we already did) how much God has blessed us with such wonderful, Godly friends!

Fourth, we are EXTREMELY thankful for BLEACH!!!  Each of the bathrooms took a bath in bleach.  We had masks, gloves, and bottles and bottles of bleach!!
Sarah Anne only wore the uniform(before they were used), we wouldn't let her in the bathrooms, although I'm sure she would have been pleased.
I'm ready to work!!

It was quite the adventurous week, however it truly made us realize how much God has blessed us and how much we take for granted everyday!!

Flag Football and the Normans are not getting along....

So flag football at the church has begun and its been very interesting.  So far Matt has come home hurt every week with yesterday being one of the worse.  Of course he is tough and can play through it, but afterwards he comes home limping and hopefully isn't doing too much damage!  Sarah Anne and I actually LOVE flag football and hanging out with all the other families.  Yesterday the weather was PERFECT and we had a blast!  That being said, the weather change has apparently effected Sarah Anne's sleeping.  I always struggle with how much to put on her when she goes to bed.  Last night I think she was cold, it only took me two hours (between 12:30 am - 2:30 am) to figure this out and what to do.  After rocking her, rubbing her head, and doing EVERYTHING I could, I turned her fan on (for the noise) and covered her with a blanket.  She went to sleep but of course was up before 7:00.  So we're injured, sleep-deprived, and trying to find fun things to do to keep us awake and functioning.  Of course we always have FUN despite everything so here are some pictures from our wild events!!

My cute girl ready to go cheer!

Let's go!!
