Back to the Park

So, first let me say the girls and I had a great 3 days in Charleston with Mama and Daddy.  Bubby had the whole day off Thursday so the girls got to go to the Splash Zone with him twice and loved every minute with Nanny and Bubby.  That being said, I completely forgot to take a single picture.  Which is sad, because  Becca has now decided she loves the kiddie slides (I spent ALL summer making her try it one time and now at the end she has fallen in love and does not go anywhere else but there over and over again).  So no pictures of that, just lots of fun memories!

So Matt and I decided that we should renew our pass for Saluda Shoals and went for a picnic and to walk and play.  The girls loved it and it was a BRAND new playground for Becca and she was thrilled!!  So here are the pictures from our picnic in the park:

Excited for dinner!

We were excited too!!

If you look over her left eye its her black eye from her little fall at Nanny's and Bubby's.  Thankfully it doesn't seem to bother her!

We had to switch so Daddy could feed Becca

Art Project #2

So our art project #2 was to do pudding painting.  Sarah Anne got to read the directions to make the pudding, then she and Becca mixed in the ingredients, painted, and then had a little to snack on!  It was really a lot of fun, Becca ate her paintbrush more than she painted, but she loved every second of it!  Of course my rule follower Sarah Anne did it correctly and waited for a bowl of pudding at the end!

Kick-off to School!

I cannot believe it is time for our first baby girl to start Kindergarten!  We are so excited to see how Sarah Anne is going to grow and the special plan God has for her!  We have the privilege of homeschooling and we are all SO excited to start.  Sarah Anne is a sponge and loves to learn and I look forward to watching her continue to grow!  So we wanted to do something a little special to "kick off" our school year.  Matt took Friday off and then last week we decided to turn it into a special trip and we went to Greenville.  For Matt and I, Greenville is a very special place because it is where we met, fell in love, and got engaged.  So we planned a trip to show the girls some of our favorite places and also planned lots of fun things for them to do.  The night before we went we wrapped clues in tissue paper and before we went to each place they unwrapped it to see where we were going.  We walked a TON, but had a blast.  We went to North Greenville, Furman (walked around the lake and Becca was fully convinced the bell tower was "Minnerella's Castle" so she RAN the whole trail to get there), the Greenville Zoo, swam in the pool, found the mice, went to the Children's Museum, the Falls Park, and the Jack and Annie exhibit at the Upstate Museum.  It was a wonderful time and after all the craziness we have gone through the last few months it was wonderful to connect as a family of 4.  One night Becca had us all laughing so hard we were crying and could barely breathe.  It was such a special and fun time and now we are ready for Kindergarten!!

Had a pit stop at Chick Fil A first!

Opening the first present (to be fair we played a game I thought of a number (3) and the one closest to it got to open first, Becca guessed 6 and SA 8)

Wish I had guessed 3!

What is this?
