Christmas Creations

This Christmas, I decided to get creative and make some of our gifts.  I waited until last minute to decide, but thankfully I have a wonderful husband who helped with my big girl so I was able to finish them all BEFORE Christmas!!  I didn't get pictures of the pajama pants I made but I have a few pictures of most of the other things.  So here are the things we made this year....

I made bath towels with Amy's name on them and whales, this was my favorite thing I created.

This is a Sarah Anne creation.  I asked her what we should get Buddy for Christmas and she said DUCKS!!  I asked her over and over again and each time it was DUCKS!!!  So we found some ducks, and decorated them with stickers and "dup, dup, dup" painted them.

You see the "Sarah Anne and Buddy" ducks.  This was my favorite gift to give (I only have made it).

Sarah Anne's bag.  I made 4 of them all together all with different material.

My hand towels that I cross-stitched and made.

Not the greatest gifts, but you have to start somewhere.  Hopefully next year with a little more time they will be better!

Christmas in Columbia

After our around the Southeast week before Christmas, we were able to come home and enjoy actual Christmas at home.  Christmas Eve we went to the Children's service at our church (which Sarah Anne did really well at) and then had Christmas, went to church, and went to have Christmas dinner at the William's house.  It was a really great "second" Christmas and we were able to start some new traditions!

Everyone got to open a present on...

Christmas Eve!!

Someone got some things to cook!

Reading the Christmas story the next morning while putting the Nativity Scene up.

I'm ready to get started please!!

Ripping into the presents!

She opened her shopping cart and then....

demanded her Daddy set it up before she (or we) opened any more!  (Definitely realized we should set up toys BEFORE Christmas morning.

So her sweet Daddy got right to work!

She found a way to entertain herself while she waited!

Then she was OFF!!!  Pushing her baby!

CHEESE!!!  I'm ready for church!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

When you're with the Hirschmanns Santa comes twice

Our final pit stop was to Charleston, where Santa came early!!  We wanted to have Christmas with Nana and Buddy so Santa came early and will come again Sunday.  What a very fortunate Sarah Anne!  We had a blast.  There was shopping, cookie making, going to see the lights, and visiting with some old friends.  We had a great time and were glad we got to celebrate Christmas with them!

Oh Mamie what a very nice present.

Nana here I'll help you with your new present too!  WHEEEE!!

Then we went for a walk to look at the Christmas lights.

Then Mamie was in charge of bath time!

Then since it was "Christmas Eve" we made cookies to....

get ready for Santa!

Merry Christmas early!!

Working hard to open the presents.

Tearing through the paper!

Some acrobatic moves in the middle

Then a little water from her new "Buddy-like" water!

Then back at it for....

Baby and stroller!

So if you know me at all, you know I LOVE crock pot meals, and NOW I can make a meal, sides, vegetables and not have to cook dinner!!!  YAY!!

Enjoying Nana's present!

Ready to enjoy Christmas dinner!

We ended with a trip to see the lights...someone caught a ride.

It was a lot of fun!  I'll post the pictures of our Columbia Christmas soon!

Southeastern Christmas #2 in Beaufort

After we left Columbus, we decided to stop in Beaufort to see "Gigi and Pop".  Sarah Anne loved seeing them, and got to enjoy a shorter trip as a result which was VERY NICE for the rest of us.  She really is a trooper for all the traveling she did!  Here are our pictures from Christmas stop #2.

Buddy I'm so glad we're here!!
