Easter and the Day After....

Easter was different this year, but the reason for it didn't change.  We rejoice and are so thankful that Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for us and died on the cross, but on the 3rd day He was no longer in the Tomb!!  We were able to enjoy some outside time, a walk, and our church service before the rain set in.  We were able to FaceTime and call several family members and worked together to make Easter Dinner.  We went to Mrs. Debra's for dinner and social distance ate dinner together.  The rain held off and we were on her porch and she ate inside.  It was SO nice to enjoy each other's company.  The next day however, things took a different turn.  The storm was terrible, but thankfully we didn't have damage, however our power went out at 5:30 in the morning.  We waited the ENTIRE day for it to come back.  We waited and went for a walk, waited and did some school work, waited and Matt had to go into work, waited and ate lunch out, waited and played some games, waited and went to the church to ride bikes, waited and ate dinner out again, waited and waited, and finally went to bed.  The power FINALLY came back on at 4:17 that morning.  We had to completely empty the fridge, but by God's grace the freezer was spared.  I woke up at 3 and I was really not pleased, then imagine my guilt when the power came on, meaning the power people had worked all through the night while I was pitching a fit in my head in my safe, cozy bed.  It definitely taught me a lot and while we were inconvenienced, we truly had so much to be thankful for.  With all of the tornadoes, we were safe and still had shelter over us, and it was a beautiful day so we could be outside and still see!  So here are our Easter adventures and 23 hour no electricity day pictures:
