Life with the Normans: Great Wolf Lodge

A few weeks ago, Great Wolf Lodge put out an amazing deal so Matt and I decided to book and convinced our wonderful friends to go with us for a night. Actually I think it was Brittany's idea, we forgot about it and on the last day decided to book as did they.... We were able to run some IKEA errands for Mama, meet Matt's parents for lunch, and then headed to GWL. The girls are at the PERFECT age for this hotel. Becca was tall enough to do all of the slides except for one, but Sarah Anne had her friend Dexter who could do the crazy slide and it worked out great!! I definitely recommend going with friends if you can make it work because the girls loved having friends their own age and it makes it easier to split up. When we got there Becca realized one of her friends was there from church so she had someone her age and her friend Noah. We had a bit of a bumpy start with the Lodge, but I contacted their Guest Relations and they were BEYOND wonderful. They graciously gave the girls each their own Pup Pass (we had planned on them just sharing one) which was so much fun for them. After the Jones left, we started on the Pup Pass and the girls collected their candy cup, got their arcade card, got their name bracelet, and then went to the room and ate lunch. Then we went and got their wands for the MagiQuest game. Sarah Anne LOVED doing this, Becca was hit or miss with it, but enjoyed opening and shutting all the stuff there and making it light up. We also made their animals and went on the adventure with it. This was DEFINITELY more Becca's speed and she was so proud of herself solving the puzzles and wandering with her new friend Sammy the Squirrel. SA tolerated it, but wasn't all that thrilled with it. We then went back to the water park and dinner and then the water park again after some yoga. It was so so much fun doing it as a family and that we could do most of the stuff as a family!! It was incredibly frustrated when we got there, but after our experience I would HIGHLY recommend going to Great Wolf Lodge, the girls loved it and never missed a beat, plus there are tons of restaurants around so you don't have to pay for the resort food. We had an AMAZING time!!
