Life with the Normans: "Sis sis is 5"

Our big girl turned 5 Sunday and I cannot believe it. Five seems so big and old, but at the same time comes with so much more fun! She is so much more independent, but at the same time is our same fun loving, sweet girl that loves to spend time with us!! So Sunday morning I asked her what she wanted to do, it was CRAZY cold so I really wasn't sure what we were going to do, but we were willing to try. She proudly announced that she wanted to go to the "Museum of Fish" where she had gone with her cousin Lachlan in December. It took us a few minutes to figure it out, but we discovered she wanted to go the aquarium, so we decided to go for it! It turned out to be super fun and the girl absolutely loved it! As we were looking at the huge tank, some random volunteers came up to us and asked if we would like a behind the scene tour of how they get the fish food ready and to see the top of the huge tank. We got to take the freight elevator up and the girls loved it. It was right before the dive show so we got to see the divers get ready and go down in the water and then we headed down to watch their show. Whenever I ask Sarah Anne what her favorite part of her birthday was she proudly says the behind the scene tour at the fish museum. I do not know why she cannot remember the aquarium, but it is fun!! After we finished, we headed to lunch at La Hacienda for a yummy lunch and an exhausted, melt down baby!! We quickly finished and then headed home where our baby took a nap and we got to play lots of fun games with our big girl!! All in all I think she had a great 5th birthday and we loved celebrating in Charleston with her! Oh and she was very pleased to come home and have lots of fun birthday mail!!
