So this month we celebrated a big birthday for Daddy and we were so blessed to have the whole family together to celebrate the birth of the most gracious, kind, loving Daddy and Bubby in the world. He wanted to travel to the Rockingham Fair so we packed up and headed up to Virginia. We were able to visit with Matt's Dad, visited the Virginia Farmer's Market, ate lunch in Roanoke and that was just the trip there. We stayed at a BEAUTIFUL Air BnB that was on a 350 acre farm with cows, rolling hills, and a creek that we almost died getting to. Ok, that's slightly exaggerated, but we really did try and hiked to a cute little creek, that part went well, then we decided to hike straight up the hill instead of going to the clearing with tons of briers, slipping and Matt and Daddy having to try and carry a very helpless Becca. The girls did get in the Creek and loved it though and it was pretty. The next day we were able to enjoy a wonderful morning and lunch with the Glicks and then headed to the fair where there were animals, rides, yummy food, and lots of fun. It was a wonderful day. Friday, Amy had to head back, but first we all went to the Natural Bridge. Words and pictures truly do it no justice! It was beautiful as was the waterfall that we walked down to (this trail was paved with no briers). After Amy left, we went to Lexington, VA and enjoyed the Lee Chapel and Museum and a yummy lunch. It was beautiful and a wonderful way to celebrate my wonderful Daddy!
These little boxes from the library were PERFECT! The girls listened for hours to stories and books!
These girls loved to be thrown by Bubby!
Ready to roll out!
Everyone had a buddy!
My first buddy....
then we swapped and I had to make a tent and share my Cherry Coke with this kid...
We had fun though!
Apparently sharing the headphones and Curious George equals Cherry Coke!
Our little creek
The girls had a blast
This was the easy part.... the rest doesn't have pictures because we were trying to get to the top!
"Happy Birthday to Bubby"
This girl adores her Bubby!
My cute girl! (Apparently Matt wanted in the picture!)
We rode 3 deep with Amy
Snuck off for a little funnel cake
These girls are fearless!! They rode every single thing!
Blessed to be a member of this sweet family!
