So, Hurricane Matthew came through last week and I am very thankful there was no one directly effected in our home. However, it did provide for lots of fun with friends and family. The governor cancelled school and government offices and called for a mandatory evacuations. For us, this meant no "Cookie room" for Becca, no work for Matt, and Mama and Daddy got to come to our house! It also meant 3 days off from school which caused some alarm! So, my friends and I in the midst of our legendary text thread freaked out about school being out and planned play dates for those 3 days immediately. Day 1 was the park with pizza, Day 2 was at a friends house with yummy macaroni and cheese and pb&j, and Day 3 was another friends house with crafts, games and tacos! For the Norman/Hirschmanns, it meant lots of fun games including charades and cheese, cheese, pepperoni and LOTS of laughter! It was a really fun week/weekend and Mama got to see the girls play t-ball. I know the hurricane effected a lot of people and they have been in our thoughts and prayers, but I am thankful for the fun memories we were able to make as another dangerous storm hit in SC in October.
