Let the Games Begin!!!

So I LOVE pinterest and all the ideas that it has for kid's activities.  The one we tried today...  A CARNIVAL!!  It was very low key and all the "games" came from household items.  Everyone brought prizes and we had a BLAST!!  Sarah Anne was so excited for her friends to come and sat at the window until the started arriving.  When I first came up with this it was like 80 degrees outside, today it was 50, but we moved it upstairs and it went SO WELL.  As the summer comes, I definitely see this becoming part of our bi-weekly routine!  It was so easy and so much fun!  So here is the carnival....

Creative Mondays

So Monday I decided to have a fun "outside day" with Sarah Anne.  Of course now that we have the swing set we basically live outside anyway, but I decided to add a few more activities to our day.  We made sidewalk paint, there was swinging, sliding, and some water play!!  I love how much she has grown and the wonderful times that we get to have!!  So here is what we did....

The result, although now it looks much brighter once the water dried.  I'm definitely a fan of the sidewalk paint!!!

I know its a blurry picture, but we have baby birds in our bird house from Grandaddy and she LOVES them.  When she's swinging she sweetly sings go to sleep to the baby birds.

Belated Birthday

Matt's birthday was Sunday which obviously was Easter so Sarah Anne and I decided to wait and surprise him with a mini-celebration Monday.  He wasn't expecting anything so that made it even more fun.  We drove out to his work and left balloons, a card, and a Mountain Dew in his car that he found at lunch.  Then when he got home we went for a run (not something I would pick, but he does love to run), went to dinner, had a dessert made, and some presents.  It was simple but just one of the ways we show him how much we love him and appreciate him.  So here are our belated birthday pictures!!
